When Amy and Andy asked me to be their wedding photographer, I was very excited. Firstly, because I knew Amy from a previous life, before starting my career as a wedding photographer and secondly because they chose an iconic venue: Samlesbury Hall. Not only is it a beautiful medieval venue with loads of character but it’s also in the top 10 of the most haunted places in the UK (According to hauntedrooms.co.uk).
The day was blessed by one of those English torrential rains. Not ideal to organise the portrait photos outside but I love it when I get an adventurous couple who is up for going out to create some stunning shots with me. The French proverb also says “Mariage pluvieux, mariage heureux”) which means: A rainy wedding day is a happy marriage.
