Just after Christmas, I photographed Emily and Thomas’ wedding at Adlington Hall.
I started in Chapel-en-le-Frith to photograph Emily’s preparation. I like this part of the day because I can also capture lots of details: the dress on its own, shoes, flowers, as well as the bride having her makeup and hair done.
It was my first wedding at Adlington Hall and I was nicely surprised by the beauty of the venue.
After the sun set, I noticed that the outside of the building was lit up. I suggested to the bride and groom to sneak out and brave the wind for an extra photo or two. This was done just before the first dance and only took a few minutes to produce some atmospheric photographs.
