I recently had the privilege of being the photographer for Ben and Caitlin’s intimate and short wedding at the Stockport Town Hall. I know the venue pretty well, it’s one of my regular spots and let me tell you, it never disappoints. You can see weddings in other parts of the building on my Stockport Town Hall Page.
The Sir A Brumwell Thomas Room where the ceremony took place, is a beauty, it’s classic and elegant and also my favourite room in the building. The glass ceiling and chandelier are probably what sell it to couples who want to get married there.
After the ceremony, Ben and Caitlin booked the Marble Staircase for an hour for the essential family photos and I was glad they did when I saw the torrential rain outside. The grand staircase is a showstopper, perfect for capturing all the happy faces. The guests made their way to a local restaurant while I kept the bride and groom for a few relaxed portraits on the staircase.
Despite the shortness of the wedding, it was still an intimate and special occasion with only a close group of friends and family. It was a privilege to be a part of their day and capture all the important moments.
The bride and groom left the Town Hall running into the pouring rain, but nothing could dampen their spirits. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of such a special day for Ben and Caitlin, and I wish them nothing but happiness and love in their future together.
