Is this the end of printed wedding albums?
For the past decade, digital technology has become more and more part of our lives. On a screen you can be connected to the rest of the world, read your messages, know anything by just googling. Most of us will have thousands of photos on our computers, probably the story of our lives since the beginning of Facebook.
Not many photographers still photograph weddings with film cameras and in most cases the bride and groom will receive a cd of their photos that they can print as they want so what’s the point of getting an album?
It’s all about presentation and feelings.
Albums are made exactly according to the bride and groom’s taste (choice of design, covers…), making your album unique and personal.
When you look at your photos on a screen, you will only use your eyes whereas you can touch, look at and even smell your album! This is the perfect way to relive the highlights of the day.
I edit my photographs on a top quality screen, set up to show colours and contrast as close as possible to reality. You will probably notice that the look of your photos will change from one screen to another. The blacks might look grey and white either pink or green.
Making an album with your photographer will make a timeless treasure for your family.
